Tenuta Cavalier Pepe's Greco di Tufo "Nestor" is a fresh, mineral and intense white wine that expresses a grape variety that was already cultivated in southern Italy before the founding of Rome. The name pays homage to the Homeric myth and to the "Cup of Nestor", one of the oldest Greek artefacts associated with wine. The grapes grow on soils with volcanic components and are fermented at low temperatures to preserve the aroma, then mature on the fine lees in steel tanks. The nose reveals peach, pear and apple with citrus notes, while the palate is full-bodied and spicy, with a very balanced freshness. It pairs well with a plate of spaghetti with clams or fried fish
