La Baracca's Grenache 'Garnassia' comes from old vines of an international grape variety which, curiously, has been present in Liguria for centuries and is locally called Granaccia. The vinification involves a particular technique: 10% of the grapes are selected and dried in crates before fermentation, to give this red wine roundness and maturity. The nose reveals hints of ripe red fruits and sweet spices, while the palate is full and warm, with silky tannins and an enveloping finish. Perfect with red meats and mature cheeses, try it with 'cima genovese'
