Grifi Avignonesi is an ambitious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, which come together to create a red wine with great ageing potential. The grapes are vinified separately with long maceration, then blended in barrels and barriques where they spend at least 18 months. The nose opens with dark notes of blueberries and blackberries, then evolves towards intriguing hints of incense and graphite with vanilla notes. The body is dense and rich, with lively tannins and a persistent savoury finish. Excellent with a Florentine steak
