Braida's Grignolino d'Asti is one of those red wines that fully represent the complex and varied world of Piedmontese winemaking. A world that Braida has been masterfully interpreting for several decades. It is a story born in 1961 at the hands of Giacomo and Anna's passion for wine; a passion, a philosophy of life that sees, today, Raffaella and Giuseppe united by the dream of further enhancing the typical varietals of Piedmont's Asti region.
Among these, we find Grignolino, so named because of the "grignola," its main characteristic that sees the berry contain many seeds compared to other varieties. Braida's Grignolino d'Asti comes from vineyards in Rocchetta Tanaro, 160 meters above sea level, on medium-textured soils rich in sand and clay. Soils that guarantee a more intense aromatic spectrum and result in absolutely elegant and delicate wines.
Characteristics that well describe this Grignolino vinified entirely in steel, which allows itself to be appreciated for its aromatic bouquet where hints of rose clearly emerge. We are dealing with a red wine that makes its lightness and freshness its strong points; a delicate and fine Grignolino, particularly subtle but capable of giving a decidedly long finish...
