Grillo 'Sursur' Donnafugata 2024

The Grillo “Sursur” is a celebration of freshness that the Donnafugata winery, a major Sicilian production reality located in Marsala, dedicates to all those who desire a straightforward and drinkable wine. It is indeed a truly versatile label, which, thanks to a linear structure, is perfect for everyday drinking, allowing for a sip that is anything but trivial. The white wine Grillo “Sursur” is made from the grapes of one of the most famous white grape varieties in all of Sicily, the Grillo. It is a variety widely cultivated, originating from the vineyards of Donnafugata cultivated around the Tenuta di Contessa Entellina and in the estates located in southwestern Sicily. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, once they arrive in the facilities designated for winemaking, ferment alcoholically in steel containers, at a controlled temperature ranging between 14 and 16 degrees. We then proceed with the aging phase, carried out for two months in steel and then, after bottling, for 3 months directly in glass.

The Grillo “Sursur” is a Sicilian wine that enchants from the very color, light and pale, reminiscent of straw yellow. Dynamic and enveloping on the nose, structured on notes of white-fleshed fruit alternating with more herbaceous and floral sensations. On the palate, it is of light and vibrant body, with a sip characterized by a pleasant freshness that encourages drinking. A bottle with which the Donnafugata winery celebrates carefreeness and informality, creating a white perfect for all seasons, very versatile from a gastronomic point of view, which will please the palate of all your guests.
