Federico Mencaroni's Lacrima di Morro d'Alba is a drinkable version of this native red from the Marche region. Only steel and a month-long maceration enhance the dark, fruity tones of the fruit. The nose releases notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices and typical hints of fragrant violets. Soft and enveloping with silky tannins and a pronounced freshness, it is perfect for both hors d'oeuvres and grilled dishes
Intense ruby red with violet hues
Violet and spices open up to intense red hints of cherry and strawberry
Rather warm, smooth and light tannins, fresh and balanced finish
