The Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Amabile '2' from Giacobazzi comes from vineyards in the Modenese hills, a historic area for this grape variety. Castelvetro is one of the "reddest" Lambrusco varieties and is capable of producing pleasant tannins as well as bubbles. On the nose, it has a dark fruity profile with ripe cherries and blackberries, while on the palate it is subtly sweet, mellow and soft, with a pleasant freshness on the finish. It goes perfectly with matured salami and flavoursome cheeses such as a 30-month matured Parmigiano Reggiano or with structured first courses such as lasagne alla Bolognese
