Langhe 'Rossoluna' from the Fratelli Alessandria winery is a complex Piedmontese red wine with character, created from a blend of native grape varieties grown on the limestone soils of the Verduno hills. 'Rossoluna' is the winery's only label that is aged in French oak tonneaux, a cross between barriques and the large barrels used for Barolo. The bouquet opens with notes of ripe red fruits and hints of sweet spices. On the palate, it is full and balanced, with soft tannins and a persistent finish. Excellent with red meat dishes and mature cheeses, it is also perfect with braised beef
