Jean Claude Boisset's Marsannay Blanc comes from a vineyard over 50 years old in the southern part of the Côte de Nuits. It is vinified using soft pressing of whole bunches and aged for 17 months in large 600-litre barrels, known as 'demi-muids' in Burgundy. The nose reveals a bouquet of broom, candied cedar and a touch of toasted hazelnut. On the palate, it impresses with its vibrant freshness, rich but balanced structure and great sapidity. Ideal with fish such as sea bass fillet with lemon and capers or cheeses such as 24-month aged Comté
Bright straw yellow with subtle golden highlights
Floral start with broom and chamomile, lemon and cedar, then a finish with fresh butter and toasted hazelnut
Vibrant, rich but balanced structure, salty minerality and a very fresh finish
