Parpinello's Monica di Sardegna Superiore is a warm and enveloping Mediterranean red wine. This native grape variety was brought to Sardinia by Spanish monks around the year 1000 and then spread throughout the island by the Camaldolese monks. The wine is aged in oak to soften the palate. The nose is direct and fruity, with hints of flowers and ripe red fruits. On the palate, it is balanced, smooth and easy to drink. It is traditionally paired with roast meats such as the legendary Sardinian porcetto
Deep ruby red
Immediate, with cherry, violet and raspberry
