The Montefalco Rosso by Omero Moretti is the excellent result of the organic experience of the great producer who has chosen to live for his passions, wine and oil, since 1992. A man of great depth and expertise who, thanks to his personal history, has a complete vision of the relationship between man and nature and today chooses to respect it to the fullest by adopting organic philosophy.
Omero Moretti oversees every production process, from the hand harvesting of grapes to the work in the cellar, dedicating the same attention and meticulousness that he once reserved for oil and the care of his animals. Visiting the 15 hectares of vineyard in the municipality of Giano dell’Umbria, one breathes an air of authenticity and genuineness, the same feeling that one perceives in the company of the Moretti family, who almost thirty years ago had the courage to turn their passion into a job, following the know-how of grandmother Guendalina, who was already vinifying the Sagrantino passito in the 50s. The winery of Omero Moretti exploits the potential of the terroir following the most natural approach possible.trying to maintain in the grape the same expressive richness from the cluster to the bottle.
The Montefalco Rosso welcomes us with the sweet warmth of a warm and voluptuous nose with notes of ripe red fruits spiced with lively spicy hints. A wine with a full and structured body capable of giving an intense persistence and a very pleasant tasting.
