The Montepulciano Chronicon by Zaccagnini is a young but lively interpretation of the Abruzzo prince vine. It presents itself to the eye with a ruby red with light nuances of garnet and releases hints of black cherries, raspberries and an interesting note of graphite, with balsamic puffs. At the mouthfeel it is rich and fresh, convivial, with excellent freshness and intense tannin.
The Abruzzese red "Chronicon" by Zaccagnini is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that is truly a pleasure to find on the laid table. The drink, harmonious and smooth, makes pairing with various dishes of Italian culinary tradition enjoyable, while on the nose it releases typically varietal aromas, which define the essential traits of its DOC. A label that will win you over right away and which, considering the interesting price at which it is offered, deserves a place in the cellar of enthusiasts of red wines made in central Italy.
The "Chronicon" is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that comes from pure Montepulciano grapes, cultivated by Zaccagnini with great care and attention to detail. The harvest, strictly manual, selects the best bunches, which after being cut from the vine are immediately transported to the winemaking facilities of the cellar, to keep all their qualities and freshness intact. After destemming, soft pressing is followed by fermentationoccurs in steel at a controlled temperature, macerating with the skins. It is followed by a short aging both in steel tanks and in wooden barrels, after which bottling operations are carried out.
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Chronicon" reveals itself to the eye with a classic color, reminiscent of ruby notes, crossed by light reflections tending more towards garnet. The nose displays a fruity calling card, enhanced by a slight touch of graphite and subtle more balsamic tones. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, characterized by a juicy and refreshing sip, which flows on the palate with great naturalness. A label that is born in light of the three fundamental concepts that we find at the base of Zaccagnini's production: quality, territoriality, and expressiveness.
