Elena Conti's Nebbiolo 'Spanna' bears the name used for Nebbiolo in northern Piedmont, Spanna, which defines a wine with a territorial and typical style. Slender, savoury and dynamic to drink, designed to be enjoyed young but capable of evolving gracefully. As is customary for the winery, the processing follows minimal intervention, with spontaneous fermentation and relatively short maceration. The nose is floral, with wilted flowers opening up to mineral notes and hints of salt. On the palate, it has a taut, fresh and vibrant texture. It pairs well with cold cuts and cheeses or traditional first courses, such as risotto with Castelmagno cheese
Light ruby red
Very floral, with rose and violet, cherry and hints of iodine on the finish
Vibrant, remarkably fresh, with rough but subtle tannins, very savoury
