Nebbiolo 'Ochetti' Renato Ratti 2023

The Nebbiolo "Ochetti" is a Piedmontese oenological gem that boasts a prestigious origin, with a history certainly less ancient than that of the Langhe, but with an equally exceptional microclimate. It originates from one of the most vocated wine-growing areas of Roero, where the Renato Ratti winery owns small but well-exposed parcels. The typical varietal aromas of the grape emerge strongly on the first nose, followed by more evolved sensations that hint at tertiary notes, the result of the aging period spent in wood. A label that on the palate reveals a full and round drink, flowing with lightness and juiciness, demonstrating great gastronomic power, capable of accompanying different dishes, such as spit-roasted meats or dishes enhanced by rich slices of truffle.

The Nebbiolo "Ochetti" is a Roero red from the Renato Ratti winery, for too long mistakenly considered the younger brother of the Langhe version. The harvest usually takes place between the middle of September and the middle of October, and the bunches, once harvested and transferred to the winery, are vinified in red in a classic manner. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in steel containers at a controlled temperature of 30 degrees, macerating for 10 days. An aging of 8 months in oak barrels concludes the process.

The "Ochetti" Nebbiolo by Renato Ratti is a Piedmontese red that, upon visual examination, manifests a beautiful shining ruby color. Concentrated on the nose, where the fruit shows itself with greater intensity, enriched by aromas of dried flowers and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad, with a sip that flows pleasantly thanks to a finely integrated tannic structure. A characteristic and very typical sip, which faithfully reflects the territory of the Roero area.
