The Nero di Troia 'Santajusta' from the Paglione winery is a complex and intense wine produced from the grape variety of the same name. Legend has it that the vine shoots, originally from present-day Turkey, were brought to Puglia by survivors of the Trojan War and found fertile ground for their spread here. The bouquet is characterised by notes of dark fruit, with hints of spice and toasted coffee notes from long ageing in oak barrels. On the palate, it is enveloping and juicy, with a strong tannic texture. Perfect with stewed wild boar
Ruby red with garnet reflections
Complex, opening with notes of blackberry, plum and pomegranate, hints of black pepper and cloves, with a toasted finish
Warm, full-bodied and smooth, with elegant tannins
