The Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes from Maison Lou Dumont is a refined expression of Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. As the name suggests, the grapes come from vines that are over 75 years old, which are not very productive but capable of concentrating all the depth of the aromas in the berries. Some bunches are left whole during fermentation, imparting elegant tannins and greater complexity. The bouquet is varied and sophisticated, with notes of small black fruits, hints of spice and toast, and a musky finish reminiscent of undergrowth. On the palate, it is bright, fresh and savoury, with fine, well-integrated tannins and a very long finish, an authentic expression of the nobility of the Burgundy grape variety. Excellent with meat dishes, such as beef Wellington
Deep ruby red
Full-bodied, with hints of wild berries and violet petals, spicy notes of cloves and toasted cocoa, earthy hints on the finish
Full and round, with marked freshness and smooth tannins, very persistent
