'Pecoranera' Tenuta Grillo - Zampaglione 2005

Tenuta Grillo's 'Pecoranera' is a red wine made from dark grapes, created as an experiment in blending. Spontaneous fermentation takes place with long maceration on the skins to extract structure and depth, resulting in a solid, long-lasting but smooth red wine. The nose reveals ripe dark fruit, liquorice and light earthy notes, while the palate is full, tannic, savoury and progressive. Ideal with grilled meats and substantial roasts such as Fiorentina steak
