PECORINO 'CASTELLO DI SEMIVICOLI' MASCIARELLI 2024 DESCRIPTION

The white Pecorino “Castello di Semivicoli” is a product with a refreshing and fragrant soul. A bottle that certainly never disappoints and is always synonymous with quality at the table on any occasion. It deserves a place in the personal reserve of every enthusiast, considering the producer, Masciarelli, a winery that has maintained high-quality standards for several decades and is now expertly managed by the wife of the legendary Gianni, Marina Cvetic. A balanced, classy wine that deserves more than one tasting.

The wine “Castello di Semivicoli” is a Pecorino that comes from grapes grown in the Masciarelli vineyards located about 350 meters above sea level. The young vines, which are about 11 years old, grow using the guyot system, facing north and south, with roots sinking into a medium-textured soil. After the manual harvest of the grapes, the winemaking process begins, which involves a cryomaceration of about 14 hours, and the grapes are then gently pressed. This is followed by the static decantation of the must that ferments at low temperatures in stainless steel containers.made of stainless steel. The wine remains, always in steel, to stabilize for a few months, before being bottled and marketed.

This Pecorino "Castello di Semivicoli" has a straw yellow color, edged with reflections that lean more towards greenish. The aromas that envelop the nose tell a story made of white-fleshed fruit, Mediterranean scrub, and sensations that lean towards floral. On the palate, it is light-bodied, balanced, elegant and subtle, with a sip characterized by a savory and refreshing vein. A bottle with which Masciarelli, a productive reality symbol of Abruzzo viticulture, brings to life a white of certain impact that has managed to establish itself with its personality even beyond national borders.
