Fontefico's Pecorino d'Abruzzo Superiore 'La Foia' is made from grapes of the same name grown in the Vignabianca vineyard. The organically cultivated vines are located on the Punta Penna promontory and are exposed to the cool, salty winds of the Mediterranean Sea. The name 'La Foia', meaning 'fervour' in the Abruzzo dialect, refers to its captivating and energetic taste, which is initially smooth and ends with a distinct savouriness. The nose is intense with hints of fruit, dried flowers and a slight peppery note on the finish. Perfect with raw fish or spaghetti with clams
Bright golden yellow
It opens with hints of chamomile and dried apricot, with sensations of chestnut honey and white pepper on the finish
Full-bodied and enveloping, with an inviting freshness, it finishes with iodine notes that prolong the taste
