PINOT BIANCO 'BARTHENAU - VIGNA SAN MICHELE' HOFSTATTER 2022 DESCRIPTION

The “Barthenau" is a fresh and fragrant Pinot Bianco, whose fruity notes tease the nose and palate. A bottle that encapsulates the passion and dedication of the Hofstatter family for quality wine, an objective to be achieved always in harmony with the environment surrounding the vineyards and with precise and careful work practices that never allow shortcuts. A philosophy that characterizes the work of all the members of the cooperative, leading to labels like Barthenau - Vigna San Michele, a round and harmonious white, capable of pleasing all enthusiasts. A product of great value that summarizes the Alto Adige terroir in a liquid.

This Pinot Bianco “Vigna San Michele” is born from a wise selection of grapes from an international variety that, in Trentino Alto-Adige, is widely cultivated, Pinot Bianco. Hofstatter cultivates the vines of this variety in vineyards of the Barthenau estate located at an altitude of about 450 meters above sea level, on a soil characterized by a limestone and gravel subsoil. The grapes, once picked during the harvest, ferment in steel containers. The wine rests gently for at least 12 months in oak barrels on its fine lees, until the moment of bottling.

The Pinot Bianco Hofstatter Vigna San Michele reveals itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, crossed by flashes tending to greenish. The olfactory spectrum moves on a progression of intense and pleasant notes, where yellow-fleshed fruit introduces tones of honey, vanilla, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, warm and structured, with an elegant and tasty sip, developing with balance and harmony. A wine with which the winery confirms its ability to present pure varieties, always capturing their essential traits.
