PINOT BIANCO 'SCHULTHAUSER' SAN MICHELE APPIANO 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Pinot Bianco "Schulthauser" from San Michele Appiano is perhaps the most representative white wine of the winemaking tradition of Alto Adige and it is the one that best expresses the peculiarities of the territory from which it takes shape. San Michele Appiano vinified and bottled it for the first time in 1986: it is a complete and finely fruity Pinot Bianco, capable of seducing the palate with its creaminess and softness.

It is born in the Schulthaus vineyards, between 540 and 620 meters above sea level, in one of the most vocated areas with a centuries-old tradition; here the microclimate is mild, characterized by cool nights and temperature excursions that are perfect for the proper ripening of the grapes. Vineyards over 40 years old, on calcareous and gravelly soil, rich in clay and facing South and Southeast. A historic company of Alto Adige, a company that boasts the participation of almost 350 families of winemakers who undeniably constitute its backbone. A passion that is passed down from generation to generation, from hand to hand, of harvest after harvest.

A tradition of extremely high-quality grapes; like those used for the Pinot Bianco "Fallwind" which ferments 75% in steel tanks and 25% in wooden barrels. The "Schulthauser" is a Pinot Bianco that expresses itself in all its elegance and finesse, where the clear expressions of apple, apricot, and pear complement each other, giving a truly classy and balanced white from Alto Adige.

When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can let it rest in the cellar comfortably for 2-3 years
