
The Pinot Bianco from Toros is born in the easternmost part of our Peninsula, in Collio Fiulano, the homeland of characterful whites with refined quality. The winery was established in the early 1900s by Edoardo Toros, who purchased some plots of land in the heart of Collio Goriziano, exploiting its potential and beginning to export to Austria and Veneto. His son Franco took over the reins of the winery's work, successfully transforming and improving the business, innovating the techniques of production and vineyard work. Today, it is the daughters Eva, Cristina, and Erika who will continue the family tradition, looking to the future with minds full of new projects.
The vineyards of Pinot Bianco from Toros are located in the Novali area in the municipality of Cormòns; the microclimate is ideal for vine cultivation, thanks to constant ventilation, the Julian Prealps that protect the rows from cold winds, and the Adriatic Sea that mitigates temperature fluctuations, making winters mild and summers cool. The soil is the typical “Ponca”, made up of marl and sandstone that have been layered over time and eroded, creating a soil rich in nutrients and minerals. The grapes are harvested manually in early September; in the winery, a gentle pneumatic pressing is performed; followed by a short aging in barrique before bottling.

It is recommended to pair with seasonal vegetable dishes, steamed and smoked fish; interesting also with roasted white meats.
