PINOT NERO ELENA WALCH 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Pinot Nero by Elena Walch is a young red, with a fresh and fragrant profile. A red that expresses the most immediate and fruity face of the famous Burgundy grape, aiming primarily to highlight the elegant varietal aromas, with a delicate vinification and aging with a light use of wood. A triumph of berries, floral and spicy nuances, which captivates from the very first sip for its extraordinary taste harmony and pleasant drinkability.

The Pinot Nero is the offspring of one of the international grape varieties that have best adapted to the pedoclimatic conditions of Alto Adige. Demanding and difficult to cultivate, Pinot Nero has found in the beautiful sunny exposures and the cool climate, especially in the areas of Egna, Montagna, Mazzon, and Gleno, a perfect habitat. The vineyards of Elena Walch are located at an altitude between 400 and 600 meters, with southeast or southwest exposure and are cultivated on predominantly calcareous soils with porphyry components. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with a maceration on the skins for about 10 days.lasting about 10 days. The wine matures partly in steel and partly in large 22-hectoliter oak barrels and completes its aging with a few months in the bottle before commercialization.

The Pinot Nero from the Elena Walch winery is the perfect label to appreciate the best varietal characteristics of this great red. True to the grape and the characteristics of the terroir, it represents a bottle of great elegance and drinkability. In the glass, it presents itself with a bright and luminous ruby color. The aromas are characterized by floral notes, small red berry fruits, slight hints of underbrush, and elegant spicy nuances. The sip is fragrant, with crunchy and juicy fruit. The tannins are fine, delicate, and the finish closes with pleasantly fresh sensations.
