The Plus by Bastianich is a complex, rich, and velvety white wine made from slightly dried Friulano grapes, aged for 16 months in steel. On the nose, it is rich and exuberant, with sweet, spicy, balsamic, and pleasantly briny tones. On the palate, it confirms its meaty, soft, enveloping, and very rich character.

PLUS BASTIANICH 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Plus is an absolutely must-try white wine. It is a pure Friulano, deep and complex, more unique than rare, dedicated to all those who want to indulge in a different experience from the norm. Indeed, because the aromas on the nose are a whirlwind of engaging emotions, just like the taste, tactile and material, highly satisfying thanks to a soft yet powerful structure. The Plus is a white with which the Bastianich winery challenges the passage of time, gifting us a nectar capable of expressing itself with charm even years after the harvest.

This Plus signed by Bastianich is born from the pure use of a great regional indigenous grape variety, the Friulano. The vines of this variety, whose age is around 60 years, are cultivated using the guyot method, and grow within vineyards characterized by a mainly calcareous subsoil. The grapes, carefully selected to ensure only the best of the terroir of origin, are harvested in different vintages, of which in the last there are also botrytized grapes. Then we proceed with fermentation, carried out in steel, for a long period. Finally, we move on to maturation, which lasts in steel for 12 months, partly in steel and partly in tonneaux.

The white wine Plus reveals itself to the eye with a golden profile, characterized by evident reflections tending towards greenish. The bouquet of notes presented on the nose is truly captivating, where the fruit, both dried and candied, is enriched with floral, spicy, and marine touches. On the palate, it is of excellent body, fleshy, with a decidedly enveloping sip, moving on a savory and balsamic taste, which in closure heads towards more fruity tones. A label of personality and character, where the taste is particularly incisive, characterized by a very high quality. A bottle with which the Bastianich winery nearly reaches the pinnacle of recognition from the main Italian and international industry guides.
