The Red ‘Pro.Vino’ from Orsi Vigneto San Vito represents a craft and sincere label, produced with the utmost respect for the territory and the consumer. We are in the hamlet of Crespellano, within the municipality of Valsamoggia in Bologna, where the Vigneto Orsi San Vito winery cultivates approximately 15 hectares of vineyards, aimed at producing wines that truly express the Colli Bolognesi area. Among these, the ‘Pro.Vino’ consists of a blend of the traditional varieties Barbera and Negretto. The latter gets its name from the particularly dark color of the grapes. The label design depicts a woodcock.
As mentioned, the ‘Pro.Vino’ Red Vigneto Orsi San Vito comes from a blend of Barbera (60%) and Negretto (40%), grown at about 200 meters above sea level under certified organic management, also adopting biodynamic farming practices. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation, conducted by only indigenous yeasts, takes place in Slavonian oak barrels, while the subsequent maturation phase lasts 12 months and occurs in barrels.old of various sizes. The processing concludes with a period of 9 months of aging in the bottle. Throughout the entire winemaking process, no filtration or correction is performed.
Orsi Vigneto San Vito Rosso ‘Pro.Vino’ has an intense red color with violet reflections of blackberry. On the nose, hints of blueberry and other berries alternate with sensations of leather and anise, as well as light aromas of chocolate. Complex and soft on the palate, characterized by a subtle tannic structure that anticipates the fruity finish consistent with the olfactory perceptions. A skilled territorial interpretation that combines good structure and excellent drinkability.
