PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE SUPERIORE BRUT 'RADIZ' BORTOLOMIOL 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore "Radiz" represents the essence of an innovative project born from the collaboration between the sommeliers of Callmewine and some historic wineries in the panorama of Italian wine. The project stems from the idea of creating labels that tell the territory without filters, with an approach that combines respect for the environment and the pursuit of quality. Each bottle is the result of a synergistic effort between winemaking experience and the skills of the sommeliers at Callmewine, with the aim of offering wines that speak of land, passion, and innovation. All following the motto "zero rules, low impact, 100% wine". The label recalls the “Prior” line of Bortolomiol, but is born from a selection of fine grapes to create a drier, finer, and elegantly sparkling Brut Superiore DOCG.

The vineyards of Prosecco "Radiz" are located on the green hills of Valdobbiadene, a vocated territory where the microclimate is influenced by the mountain range of Monte Cesen and Col Visentin, which protect the rows from the cold northern winds. The vines, situated between 70 and 450 meters above sea level, benefit from a marked temperature difference between day and night, essential for the development of aromas. marked temperature difference between day and night, essential for the development of aromas. The grapes are harvested manually with careful selection of the bunches that undergo a gentle pressing in the winery. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by refermentation using the Charmat/Martinotti Method and completed with the sparkling process in 25-30 days. This is followed by a two-month aging in the bottle.

Visually, the Prosecco "Radìz" presents itself with a light and bright straw yellow color, illuminated by lively bubbles. On the nose, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, such as peach and pear, are perceived, enriched by floral notes of jasmine and hints of citrus and aromatic herbs reminiscent of sage and thyme. On the palate, the sip is fresh, lively, and vibrant, with pleasant sapidity and fragrance. Its versatility makes it perfect for pairing with dishes based on raw fish, light vegetable menus, or convivial aperitifs.
