Talcomraja's 'Rial Negre' was born in the Maresme, a land of streams that can become raging torrents on rainy days. It is a blend of Garnatxa Negra, Merlot and Syrah that encapsulates the duality of its terroir: apparent calm and wild energy. Matured for twelve months in American oak barrels, it develops a silky texture without losing the frankness of the grapes. Ripe blackberries, sweet liquorice and a touch of graphite emerge on the nose. The sip is soft but lively, with tannins present but never aggressive. Ideal with grilled meats or rabbit with snails
Deep ruby red with garnet hues
Dark profile with blackberry, plum, dried violet then vanilla, black pepper and liquorice
Very warm, with soft tannins, rustic and balanced with a fresh, savoury finish
