
"Autor" by Vina Ane is a pure Tempranillo from the famous Spanish region of La Rioja. The vines are located on clay and limestone soils and produce a very intense and tannic red, with aromas of red fruit and dark chocolate. Aromatic and pleasantly soft, it finds an ideal companion in well-aged cheeses and red meats!
The Rioja 'Autor' from the bodega Viña Ane is configured as an accessible and typical interpretation of the Rioja Alta territory, a sort of “business card” of the winery. The wine-growing reality Viña Ane was born in 2004 within the municipality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, along the course of the Ebro River, where the spouses Eduardo Monge and Lorena Garbati started their winemaking project with the aim of nurturing the wine traditions of their respective families. The name Viña Ane is a dedication from Eduardo and Lorena to their daughter, Ane.
Viña Ane Rioja 'Autor' is a pure Tempranillo cultivated within the municipalities of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Rivas de Tereso on soils rich in clay and limestone. The grapes are harvested and selected twice by hand, the first directly in the vineyard and the second in the winery. The subsequent alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in oak containers, accompanied by 5 days of maceration on the skins and followed by the complete carrying out of the malolactic fermentation. The aging lasts for 11-12 months and takes place in oak barriques, 90% French, 5% American, and 5% Hungarian.
Visually, the Rioja Viña Ane 'Autor' expresses a ruby red color with violet reflections. The aromatic profile presents a well-assorted combination of fruity and toasted scents, particularly with notes of blackberry, black currant, and toasted wood in the foreground. Sensations of dark chocolate, licorice, and cedar complete the aromatic context. On the palate, it is intense and flavorful, well-balanced, with a present tannin that anticipates the fruity and pleasantly woody finish. Thanks to its modern and balanced taste, this Rioja shows excellent versatility in food-wine pairing. A great juice from Rioja!
