ROSATO 'COLLEZIONE ORO' PICCINI 2024 DESCRIPTION

With its light and refreshing flavour, the Piccini family's Rosato 'Collezione Oro' is ideal for those seeking a pleasant and undemanding drink. The 'Collezione Oro' line was born in 2003 out of the collaboration between the Piccini, a prominent family of Tuscan entrepreneurs, and oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, one of Italy's most renowned consultants. Specifically, this rosé wine is produced from a distinctive blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Malvasia grapes grown in Tuscany, meeting the needs of modern consumers oriented towards fresher, lighter types of wine.

The 'Collezione Oro' Piccini Rosato thus derives from the combination of Sangiovese (70%), Merlot (20%) and Malvasia (10%) grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are vinified into rosé wine through a very brief skin maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation of the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is matured for a few months, again in stainless steel, in order to enhance its primary aromas and lively freshness.

Piccini's 'Collezione Oro' Rosato has a seductive intense salmon pink colour. The aromatic bouquet carries fragrant aromas of red fruits such as wild strawberry, cherry and raspberry, surrounded by citrus notes reminiscent of pink grapefruit and orange, as well as hints of red apple on the finish. The sip is refreshing, savoury and of good intensity, characterised by a slender and very fragrant finish that evokes the red fruit sensations previously perceived on the nose. Thanks to its fresh and graceful drinking, this rosé wine is ideal as a lively aperitif during warm summer evenings.
