ROSATO FRIZZANTE RIFERMENTATO IN BOTTIGLIA 'SAN VINCENT' BERGIANTI DESCRIPTION

The “San Vincent” by Bergianti is a sparkling wine refermented in bottle that comes from the ideas of Gianluca and Simona, a “creative” couple who founded the eponymous winery in 2008 in Garganello di Carpi, in the province of Modena. Since its inception, their project has been to build a sustainable integrated system in which the vines are perfectly integrated into a wider environment made up of vegetables, aromatic herbs, grains, and fruit trees, along with animals: the principle underlying biodynamics. The name of this wine comes from the patron saint of vines and winemakers celebrated in France on April 5th, somewhat “Italianized” with that “san”, also because it has historical traces in the Belpaese.

“San Vincent” Bergianti is a sparkling rosé refermented in bottle entirely from red grapes. Gianluca, following the ancient Emilian traditions, uses ancient clones of grapes. All operations are carried out manually, respecting and expanding the principles of biodynamics. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete through indigenous yeasts, followed by spontaneous refermentation in bottle. There is no filtration or clarification, and the amount of added sulfites is kept to a minimum: we are talking about 20mg/l total sulfur dioxide in each bottle.

Bergianti “San Vincent” is a refermented wine that presents itself with a beautiful bright and rich pink, brilliant and lively, endowed with a fine foam. In the glass, it releases hints of small berries, intertwined with aromatic herbs and notes of sea salt, resulting in freshness and delicacy. On the palate, it is a burst of pleasantness, wonderfully refreshing the palate revealing its qualities of juiciness and minerality. It is a dry and taut wine, which is sincere and direct, never tiring with its delicate sparkling note. It is a cheerful wine that happily accompanies appetizers and lunches based on vegetables and fish!
