ROSÉ DE PROVENCE 'PRESTIGE' CHATEAU MINUTY 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Rosé de Provence “Prestige” by Chateau Minuty is a step up from the already excellent base rosé, capable of being even more defined and deep. Rosé wines have experienced fluctuating fame in the wine world, but it can be stated with certainty that from liquids once considered frivolous and unremarkable, they are now rightly seen as products with splendid gastronomic versatility and in some cases even particularly deep. If in Italy the highest expression of rosé is probably traceable to Abruzzo, in France Provence holds the national record also thanks to interpretations like those of Chateau Minuty, a winery founded in 1930 in Gassin that today has about 70 hectares of vineyards with Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre, with vineyards also located in Rhône. All wines, from the base to the flagship ones, share a refined and detailed stylistic signature, with peaks of greater complexity reached by the more ambitious liquids.

The rosé “Prestige” is obtained from a typical regional blend, consisting of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Tibouren, from vineyards located in the heart of Provence that overlook the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The best vineyards of the property are harvested by hand and cultivated using organic products and natural fertilizers. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation continues in steel tanks and aging in the same containers, to preserve the freshness and vitality of the liquid.

The Rosé de Provence “Prestige” presents itself in the glass with a pale and delicate pink hue. The nose is very elegant and understated, with hints of peach, melon, orange peel, and white flowers, all with great measure and proportion. On the palate, the wine reveals itself to be enveloping yet at the same time fresh and juicy, endowed with that harmony typical of great wines, and tantalizing in its pairing possibilities that are almost limitless. Multifaceted.
