The Rosso di Montalcino from Canalicchio di Sopra presents itself as a fresh, expressive and radiant image of the Montalcino wine area. It stands out on the nose for its natural fragrances of violet and small red fruits, with delicate hints of cherry and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it enters assertively and energetically, with velvety tannins, and long, clear notes of jam and cassis on the finish.

The Rosso di Montalcino from Canalicchio di Sopra is a fruity and versatile expression of Sangiovese grown within the cru "Canalicchio". Although this bottle comes from the youngest vines, the level of intensity felt during tasting is noteworthy. We are faced with a label that expresses freshness, finesse, and depth, capable of communicating a good propensity for aging the wine in the years to come. To be savored with awareness, sipping it until the last drop.
The Rosso di Montalcino is made by the Canalicchio di Sopra winery using pure Sangiovese grapes, a variety cultivated with the spurred cordon system in parcels located about 300 meters above sea level. The soil is mainly composed of clay and is rich in elements such as magnesium, iron, and manganese. The fermentation of the must takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, and the maceration in contact with the skins lasts a total of 20 days. The wine is then transferred for 12 months in both Slavonian oak barrels and tonneau – for 30% of the total mass – to carry out the final aging.
The Rosso di Montalcino from Canalicchio di Sopra presents itself to the eye with a bright ruby color, endowed with a particular brightness. It is the small red fruit, along with the scent of dried flowers, that presents an orderly nose, whose profile is also enriched with hints of spices and aromatic herbs. Subtle and delicate is the entry on the palate, which outlines a broad sip in which the freshness of the sip and the excellent processing of the tannin are appreciated. It closes with a finish characterized by a fruity aftertaste. To be the business card of the entire company production, the level is already very high!
