La Magia's Rosso di Montalcino is made from the same grapes as Brunello, but with a vinification process designed to enhance its freshness and immediacy. The ageing period is shorter, 9 months in tonneaux, large barrels and even amphorae, which enhance the fruit. The nose offers hints of ripe cherry, violet and black pepper. On the palate, it is fresh and savoury, with silky tannins and a persistent finish. It pairs well with Tuscan cured meats and grilled meats, and is magnificent with a Florentine steak
