Kristinus' Kosmo is a red wine produced in Hungary in the Balaton region, near the lake of the same name. This blend combines Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon with Kékfrankos, a grape variety known in Italy as Franconia and widespread mainly in the north-east. This variety gives a characteristic spicy note to the Bordeaux blend, which is otherwise characterised by fruity hints. Fermentation takes place in wood, partly new and partly used, while ageing continues in steel. The bouquet recalls notes of black fruit jam, with balsamic and spicy hints. On the palate, it is soft and velvety, with fine tannins, lively freshness and a marked sapidity that supports the sip. Excellent with beef pörkölt, the traditional Hungarian stew with sweet paprika and onion
Deep ruby red
Full-bodied, with hints of blackberry and morello cherry jam, menthol notes, spicy notes of black pepper and cloves
