San Piero di Montecalvi comes from the single vineyard of the same name, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and, to a lesser extent, Merlot. To soften the tannic character of the Cabernet, the wine is aged first in oak and then in the bottle for a total of three years. It has aromas of blueberry and cassis with slight balsamic and chocolate notes, while on the palate it is structured and warm, with compact tannins and a very long finish. Ideal with game or intense dishes such as hare salmi
Deep, intense ruby red
Aroma of black fruits such as blueberries and blackcurrants, balsamic notes and slight hints of dark chocolate
Structured and harmonious, with dense tannins and a long, warm finish
