SANGIOVESE DI ROMAGNA SUPERIORE 'ORA' SAN PATRIGNANO 2022 DESCRIPTION

“Ora” Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore from San Patrignano is an intense and straightforward wine, which authentically and immediately brings to the glass the characteristics that Sangiovese expresses in the lands of Romagna. Less structured and austere compared to the versions from the most renowned and famous Tuscan denominations, in the hilly area of Rimini the grape variety highlights especially the harmonious and rich fruity notes, with a smooth and pleasantly balanced sip. The aging in wood is well calibrated and does not overshadow the fragrant varietal aromas, providing only a greater softness to the tannins, which are fine and well polished.

The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore “Ora” comes from a production reality that is much more than a simple winery and is capable of expressing important values that go well beyond the world of wine. It is, in fact, the result of the sacrifice and passion of young people, who, thanks to the cultivation of the vine and the production of wine, are creating a new life path guided by the oenologist Luca D’Attoma. The careful and delicate winemaking processes in the winery ensure wines that are highly faithful to the characteristics of the grape variety and provide a Sangiovese of remarkable quality and extraordinary drinkability.

“Ora” from San Patrignano is a Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore that originates in the sweet hilly area of Coriano. At the end of the harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, it matures for a period of 12 months in oak barrels. In the glass, it presents itself with a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of cherry, currant, marasca, red berry fruits, notes of licorice root, leather, and delicate spicy nuances. On the palate, it has a medium body, with a fine and velvety tannic texture. It retains a juicy fruity fragrance that unfolds towards a fresh finish with good taste persistence.

When to open
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can let it rest in the cellar comfortably for 3-4 years
