Domaine Chevrot's Santenay Vielles Vignes comes from beautiful vines over 50 years old, which the winery only works with two draft horses, Hôtesse and Valentine. To make the sip even more fragrant and graceful, half of the grapes are fermented whole. The nose reveals dark tones of blackberry, rose and jasmine, accompanied by toasted hints and a hint of tobacco. On the palate the taste is fresh but usual, with a surprising sharpness, leading to a savoury and crisp finish. Ideal with red meats and mature cheeses
Rather intense ruby red
Hints of blackberry open to rose and mulberry, then finish with almond and tobacco
Straight, clean and fresh, crisp and very tasty
