SASSICAIA TENUTA SAN GUIDO 2023 DESCRIPTION

The Sassicaia is the Italian wine most renowned in the world, the quintessence of balance in terms of body and complexity. It is a red that represents at the same time the flagship of Italian enology, the milestone for the excellences that followed and the keystone of the enological renaissance of the area. It was born from the ingenuity of Mario Incisa della Rocchetta who, as early as the 1920s, dreamed of creating a noble wine, thoroughbred like the horses he owned at that time in his stable. He thus decided to plant Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc grapes in the Tenuta San Guido, due to the similarity he noticed between these lands and the Bordeaux area: stony and rocky soils, just like a "Sassicaia".

The Sassicaia Tenuta San Guido, also thanks to the precious contribution by the oenologist Giacomo Tachis, it has become the symbol of a wine production of the highest quality, known and appreciated worldwide, a cultural symbol like the hand of the master of Italian oenology that has caressed it for a long time. Andit will grace all grand occasions and sumptuous dinners, but sipped in pleasant solitude and meditation it will amaze you like no other. The grapes are born in one of the most famous company crus, composed of a mosaic of natural elements. The unique conformation of the soil, the exposure to the west, southwest and the altitude of 100-300 meters have created the perfect cradle where this prestigious oenological treasure can germinate.

The Bolgheri Sassicaia is a sumptuous red, with a precious ruby mantle, like the stone to which it owes its color. On the nose, it fascinates with notes of ripe cherries, blackberries, blackcurrant, rosemary, lavender, raspberry leaves, and an herbal world, all accompanied by a hint of ".elegant oak notes and slight hints of pipe tobacco. On the palate, it is appreciated for its intensity, the vigor of the arduous territory from which it originates, and a perfectly woven texture of freshness and sapidity. Engaging: an expression to listen to and with intense nuances. It loves time and does not fear it, indeed it best expresses the history it holds within itself with aging. It is a masterpiece of the rugged land of Bolgheri, unique and with ample evolutions; it is even the only one to have a reserved denomination regulation. An extraordinary excellence, daughter of a historic and symbolic winery of the Italian wine world! Number one
