The Sauvignon from the Friulian winery Di Lenardo is a fresh white wine with an intense aromatic profile. It is a label that perfectly highlights the character with which this famous and beloved semi-aromatic French grape variety expresses itself in the lands of Grave. It is a beautiful territorial version of Sauvignon Blanc that, thanks to a vinification process conducted exclusively in steel, offers aromas of aromatic herbs, vegetal nuances, and fragrant notes of citrus and ripe fruit. The sip is agile and smooth, favoring ease and immediate drinkability.
The Sauvignon wine from the Friulian winery Di Lenardo is born in one of the most dynamic realities of the Grave area. The Di Lenardo family has been involved in viticulture since the mid-nineteenth century, but the real development of the winery began in the late 1980s, with the choice to focus on both indigenous grape varieties and international varieties that have best adapted to the climate and soils of the region. Today, the estate extends over 52 hectares in the areas of Grave, Friuli Aquileia, and Eastern Hills. In the Grave area, the vineyards have been planted on gravelly soils of alluvial origin, very draining and rich in minerals. The vines are managed with great care to ensure healthy and rich grapes. The meticulous work between the rows minimizes enological interventions in the winery, allowing the varietal characteristics of the grapes to always take center stage.
The white Sauvignon from the Di Lenardo winery is a successful interpretation of varietal typicity and the character of the territory of origin of this white grape variety that has been cultivated for centuries in the lands of Friuli Venezia Giulia. After soft pressing, the free-run must is fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Before being bottled for commercialization, the wine matures for 3 months in steel. In the glass, it presents a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet expresses the characteristic aromas of medicinal herbs, aromatic herbs, floral nuances, vegetal hints, aromas of citrus and ripe white-fleshed fruit. The sip is pleasantly lively, centered on expressive fruit, leaving room for a fresh and savory finish. It is the classic bottle that finishes without even noticing
