Present since the 1800s in Friuli, Sauvignon Blanc is one of the international varieties that has best adapted to the climate and soils of the Colli Orientali area. Its success is certainly also linked to the ability of Friulian winemakers to make it a true wine of the territory, enhancing its most authentic character without trying to follow easy international models or current trends.
The Sauvignon wine is among the most loved for its strong and inimitable personality. Le Vigne di Zamò, always focused on producing wines of the territory, could not refrain from proposing its own version of this great protagonist of Friulian enology. The excellent quality of the wine comes from the possibility of cultivating the vines in some of the best areas of the Colli Orientali. The estate includes three different areas, each with unique characteristics, but all very suited to the production of great white wines: Rosazzo, Buttrio, and Rocca Bernarda. In the sunny and breezy hilly areas, Sauvignon has found the perfect climate for its needs. The stony soils, rich in precious mineral substances, enhance its finesse and elegance, producing balanced wines that are rich in expressive energy
