Flor del Desierto's Sotol 'Desierto 47' originates in the Coyame desert, where sotol is an indigenous wild plant. Production follows ancestral methods: the pine cones are cooked in shallow pits with oak wood, chopped by hand, fermented in open-air tanks and finally distilled twice in copper stills. This is an intriguing product of Mexican tradition, which in addition to the typical smoky aromas surprises with spicy and vegetal hints, as well as mineral sensations reminiscent of salt. On the palate, however, it is intense, fragrant and savoury, a real treat for lovers of ‘spirits’
