The Spatburgunder 'Alte Reben' from the Bernhard Huber winery is a fine and refined version of Pinot Noir obtained from the estate's oldest vines. The high planting density, which reaches up to 25,000 vines per hectare, produces bunches consisting of only 10 berries, with low yields and extraordinary aromatic concentration. The bouquet is complex, opening with notes of ripe red fruit, followed by hints of juniper berries, smoky notes and delicate toasted hints on the finish. On the palate, the wine is taut and energetic, balanced by the juiciness of the fruit and the fullness of the body, which give it an enveloping mouthfeel. Pair with a risotto with fresh porcini mushrooms
Deep ruby red
Notes of red fruits such as raspberry and strawberry, hints of juniper berries and a finish with hints of vanilla and cocoa
With velvety tannins, full-bodied, refined elegance, deep and silky on the palate
