The Spätburgunder 'Merdinger' Weingut von der Mark is made from selected Pinot Noir grapes grown in vineyards with high expressive potential. Maceration takes place in open vats to promote oxygenation of the must, followed by ageing in old barriques for twelve months. The bouquet is intense but measured, with ripe fruit and hints of minerals, medicinal herbs and typical spices, while the palate is compact, taut and persistent, with great freshness and depth. A red wine designed for the table, perfect with grilled beef entrecôte
Deep ruby red
Soave, with cherry and violet opening up to medicinal herbs, undergrowth and slight hints of cardamom
Vertical, very fresh and with very subtle tannins, structured but smooth
