SPUMANTE METODO CLASSICO ROSÉ BRUT MARCALBERTO DESCRIPTION

The Spumante Metodo Classico Marcalberto is a Rosé Brut that continues the tradition of the winery, which has always been exclusively focused on the production of sparkling wines in a land, that of the Langhe in Piemonte, historically suited for the production of other types of wine. A challenge that began in 1996, and that today leads to a taut label, easy to drink, characterized by a refreshing sip, where minerality and fruit, elements that can be found during the olfactory analysis, invigorate the palate with an active and determined touch. The perfect bottle for a quality toast during the most festive occasions!

This Metodo Classico Brut is a Rosé Sparkling Wine that comes from the blend of two grape varieties that are very complementary to each other when it comes to making a sparkling wine, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero. Both varieties grow in vineyards located between 250 and 360 meters above sea level, near the municipalities of Santo Stefano Belbo and Calosso. The terroir of these areas is mainly marl and limestone. After the first fermentation of the must, it rests for 5 months in oak barrels to then referment in the bottle, without filtration, following the typical production principles of the Metodo Classico. The Spumante remains on the lees to mature for two years, before being disgorged, dosed, and bottled by the winery.

The Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé Brut presents itself to the eye with a light pink color, characterized by a fine bubble, with a long persistence. The nose opens to a combination of fruity notes, which gradually give way to hints of bread crust and yeast. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, energetic and dynamic, with a sip marked by a savory and fruity taste. A label that is perfect as an accompaniment to an entire meal, and that feels particularly at ease with dishes based on fish, shellfish, and seafood.
