TORBATO SPUMANTE ROSÉ BRUT 'MIRÀLL' SELLA & MOSCA DESCRIPTION

The Spumante Rosé Brut 'Miràll' by Torbato Sella & Mosca is a fresh and fruity cuvée, made with a base of Torbato, the native white grape variety typical of the Alghero area, along with a small percentage of red grapes from the territory. It is a simple sparkling wine that primarily expresses the fragrant elegance of a delicate bubble and a round, creamy sip, characterized by delicate saline notes typical of Mediterranean wines. It is a sparkling wine with a territorial face, perfect to enjoy during aperitif time or to accompany appetizers or delicate seafood dishes from Sardinia.

The 'Miràll' Rosé Brut by Torbato is a sparkling wine produced by one of the most important and well-known Sardinian wineries. In addition to the historic estate in Alghero, Sella & Mosca owns properties in Gallura and Sulcis and offers a range of labels that enhance the qualities of the most important native grape varieties of Sardinia. The Torbato vineyards have an average age of about 18 years and are located in the area surrounding the town of Alghero, on predominantly limestone soils. The harvest takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September, in order to preserve a marked freshness. The grapes are softly pressed; the red grapes with a brief contact on the skins to extract aromas and color. The free-run juice is vinified white in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After a few months of aging, the blending and refermentation take place, which occurs in autoclave according to the Martinotti or Charmat Method, with an overall processing period lasting a couple of months.

The Brut Rosé of Torbato ‘Miràll’ from the Sardinian winery Sella & Mosca is a young and lively sparkling wine, which captivates with its immediate taste and informal, convivial character. Visually, it presents a light and delicate pink color, crossed by a luminous, fine, and persistent perlage. The bouquet expresses aromas of orange blossom, lemon zest, pink grapefruit, white peach aromas, Golden apple, raspberry, cherry, red currant, wild strawberries, and nuances of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. The sip is fragrant, soft, and pleasantly fruity, with a savory and refreshing finish.
