TREBBIANO D'ABRUZZO 'SAN CLEMENTE' ZACCAGNINI 2024 DESCRIPTION

The "San Clemente" White from the Zaccagnini winery is an Abruzzese wine with a strong territorial imprint. It is produced in the Pescara area with a blend of the three main white grape varieties of the territory: Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Passerina, and Pecorino. It is a intense wine, with good structure and aromatic complexity, featuring pleasant fruity notes and good aromatic persistence. A brief passage in barrique during the aging period further enriches it with delicate and refined tertiary aromas, completing its fascinating bouquet.

The wine "San Clemente" represents the synthesis of the white wines of the Abruzzese territory, combining the intense and vertical freshness of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo with the richness and structure of Pecorino and the delicacy of Passerina. A particularly successful, complex, and harmonious blend. The vines are cultivated in the Pozzo area in Bolognano, in the province of Pescara, in a magnificent hilly area, particularly suitable for the climate and soils for white grape varieties, which reach a perfect degree of ripeness.maintaining good acidity. Once the harvest operations are completed, a gentle pressing of the grapes under vacuum is carried out to extract only the free-run juice. The alcoholic fermentation and the subsequent malolactic fermentation take place in steel tanks. The wine matures in steel for a period of 12 months, followed by an additional 3 months in barrique before bottling.

The White "San Clemente" is a wine of beautiful aromatic richness, which encapsulates in the glass the best characteristics of the main white grape varieties from the Abruzzo region. The color is bright and luminous straw yellow. The aromatic profile opens with notes of citrus, yellow fruit, hints of tropical fruit, aromatic herbs, and delicate floral nuances. On the palate, it has a medium structure, with aromatic fruit, expressive and a pleasant fresh finish.
