TREBBIANO SPOLETINO 'TREBIUM' ANTONELLI SAN MARCO 2024 DESCRIPTION

The "Trebium" from the Antonelli San Marco winery is a white wine made from Trebbiano Spoletino grapes, an indigenous Umbrian variety that has spread, as the name itself recalls, between the areas of Montefalco and Spoleto. The vineyards are cultivated at an altitude of about 350 meters with a westward exposure, each plant is supported by maple stakes, this too is a small but important sign of how this company, even in minimal processing, always prefers to pay attention to all practices related to respecting nature and its rhythms.

The grapes of Trebbiano Spoletino "Trebium" cultivated by the Antonelli San Marco winery are selected over time to ensure every year the highest quality of the fruit and consequently of the future wine. Through manual harvesting, the harvest begins in the second half of October. Once brought to the winery, the bunches undergo a soft pressing, followed by a fermentation in oak barrels of 25 hectoliters. The process concludes with an aging that will last for about 6 months in wooden barrels and 4 months in the bottle.

Antonelli San Marco with its Trebbiano Spoletino "Trebium" colors the glass with a regal golden yellow beauty, on the nose it opens with pineapple and melon and immediately follows notes of white fruit such as peach and apple. Hints of cinnamon and sage create an extremely elegant olfactory profile. On the palate, it is soft and fresh, enveloping the whole mouth, making the drink extremely cheerful and dynamic. With this wine, the Antonelli San Marco winery has once again demonstrated that commitment, research, and the will to invest and believe in the protagonists of its land always become a bet that will pay off over time, and the "Trebium" is no exception that confirms the rule.
