TRENTO SPUMANTE DOSAGGIO ZERO MAGNUM REVÌ 2021 DESCRIPTION

Trento Spumante Dosaggio Zero from the Revì winery is a refined and elegant wine produced in Aldeno, a municipality about 10 km south-west of Trento, in Trentino. This label is an undosed vintage sparkling wine made from a blend of mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards located on hills at an altitude of about 300-400 metres and facing south-west. The training system used is Guyot and, as you descend towards the valley, Trentino pergola. The soils are mainly calcareous, giving this Trento DOC great grace and delicacy, combined with a structure that is always well present. The winery is a family business, now run by two women, Carmen Tomasi and Giovanna Bertoldi, respectively the wife and sister-in-law of the first founder, Paolo Malfer, who was perhaps among the first in the region to experiment with bottle refermentation without added sugar.

Dosaggio Zero Trento Spumante is produced with grapes that are carefully selected both in the vineyard and in the cellar and harvested exclusively by hand. The bunches are transported to the cellar, pressed whole using a vertical press and transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel containers where alcoholic fermentation takes place to obtain the base wine. At this point, bottling takes place with the addition of liqueur de tirage for the second fermentation. The wine rests on its lees for about 36 months, after which it is disgorged and the liqueur d'expedition is added with only must, without the addition of sugars, as per the brut nature category.

The Trento Dosaggio Zero Spumante from the Revì winery has a bright golden yellow colour with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals pleasant aromas of green apple and yellow fruit, citrus and floral notes of white flowers and hints of pastries and bread crust. On the palate, it is enveloping and creamy, with hints of orange zest and mineral echoes in the finish that enhance its drinkability. This undosed sparkling wine from Revì is fresh, clean and very pleasant, with a beautiful structure that adapts to any situation.
