Valpolicella Classico Superiore 'Grola' is the full expression of its region, conceived by Giovanni Allegrini, who is able to produce very expressive reds with character from this single cru. The ageing process is complex: 16 months in wood, half in second-use barriques and half in large barrels, before maturing in the bottle for almost a year. The nose opens with red fruits such as blackberries and ripe cherries, enriched with notes of violets, vanilla and dark chocolate. The palate is velvety, with ripe tannins and great freshness that balances the fullness of the mouthfeel. Perfect with intense meat stews
