Bertani's Valpolicella Ripasso 'Valpantena' is a traditional wine from the Verona area, produced on the basaltic soils of the vocated Valpantena. Ripasso' is a local technique, a continuation of the fermentation on the dried skins of Amarone. This gives body, warmth and lovely hints of candied fruit. In addition to red fruit, spices and chocolate complete the bouquet. The palate has subtle tannin, the taste is fleshy and savoury. Ideal with grilled red meats and mature cheeses
